Donations are accepted via email address floodrelief.gov.rs.That account belongs to the diplomatic mission of Serbia in Brussels, where the money is directly transferred to the account of Government of the Republic of Serbia for people endanged in floods.
This address is only for PayPal payments; messages sent to it will not be read, according to the Ministry of finance. From May 18 to date via PayPal has been collected 306.000 euro to help endangered.
A big conference of donors took place today in Belgrade and the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić informed participants that the damage by the floods in Serbia is 0,64 percent of GDP - according to first estimates approximately 174,5 million euro.
The disaster destroyed everything in sight, and evacuated population is located in 160 collective centers - 47 in Belgrade and 93 more in other parts of Serbia.
The balance of this disaster is more than 31.879 people moved from their homes, 1,763 completely destroyed or seriously affected homes and more than 2,260 inundated homes - and that is without Obrenovac.
The initial estimates shows that 39 municipalities and 1,643,832 inhabitants are endanged by floods.
At categorized roads 30 bridges is destroyed and 50 is damaged, while in municipal and local roads that balance is 20 destroyed and damaged bridges all together. In landslides are destroyed 20 graded roads and hundreds of municipal and local roads.
